Standing for the Defenseless and Protecting Futures
The Fort is On Mission to Protect Vulnerable Children and Support Foster Parents.
Our dream is to reimagine the foster care model starting with our county’s most vulnerable population: 8-16-year-old boys.
We are taking the first hill to hold out hope to foster children waiting for a home in Forsyth County and then replicate this first-of-it’s-kind model.
The Cost of Housing Is Rising - Our Solution Removes The Burden of Home Ownership.
The Cost of Housing has more than doubled in the county in the last 10 years, driving up the need for dual incomes and driving down the opportunities for families to foster
Forsyth County population has grown by 250% and is projected to be beyond 500,000 people within the next 20 years.
We’re addressing the number one problem in the county, and one this is anticipated to accelerate in the approaching years. This demands our attention.
Children between 8-16 years of age in the system find themselves less and less likely to be adopted with every passing year.
These children’s lives hold incredible potential and with faithful and consistent support they will be on track to become productive, contributing citizens.
Care, Everywhere. - Our Care Solution
The Fort is built for care and support for all.
Our approach to foster care is focused on surrounding children with love and support from not only the foster parents, but layers of care to provide a support system from church, organizations, tutoring, mentoring, physical and mental well-being, and our supporting partners to grow young men/woman that has a bright future ahead of them.
Every child and parent in the Fort Foster Care Home will receive care backed by layers of support to ensure stability long-term.
